SUMMARY:Giving Tuesday 2025
DESCRIPTION:Giving Tuesday 2025: The Performance Fund \nThis year\, the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir’s Giving Tuesday campaign focuses on The Performance Fund — a fund dedicated to supporting the instrumentalists\, musicians\, and technical enhancements that help bring our performances to life. \nAs a choral organization that regularly performs works from the great choral symphonic repertoire\, instrumentalists are essential to giving our choristers a true and complete performance experience. From string quartets to chamber orchestras\, organ to harp\, these musicians transform rehearsed harmonies into living sound — allowing our choristers to feel the full artistic scope of the music they study\, and our audiences to experience it as it was meant to be heard. \n  \nWhy your support matters \nBehind every moving performance is a community of talented musicians who make it possible. Professional instrumentalists not only elevate our concerts but also provide our young singers with an invaluable opportunity to collaborate with seasoned artists — learning what it means to listen\, respond\, and perform as part of a larger ensemble. \nYet\, as a volunteer-run youth choir\, engaging these instrumentalists comes at a significant cost. While our choristers rehearse for weeks to prepare a performance\, the professional accompaniment that transforms those efforts into a full concert experience is funded through donations and ticket sales. \nYour support this Giving Tuesday ensures that we can continue offering our choristers — and our community — the complete artistic experience they deserve. \n  \nHow does your donation support the ORYC? \nDonations from our 2025 Giving Tuesday campaign will help to: \n\nFund the hiring of professional instrumentalists for major concerts\nProvide our choristers with the opportunity to perform the more of the choral symphonic repertoire\nCreate unforgettable concert experiences for our audiences\nStrengthen ORYC’s visibility and reputation as one of Canada’s leading youth choirs\nExpand our reach to new audiences through performances that inspire\, connect\, and engage\n\n  \nHow far does my donation go? \nEvery contribution helps fill the concert hall with sound — and meaning. Here’s how your support makes an impact: \n$3\,500 ………………………………. Sponsors an instrumental ensemble for a major work\n$1\,500 ……………………………….. Provides rehearsal support for choristers with instrumentalists\n$500 …………………………………. Covers the fee for a professional soloist or section lead\n$250 ………………………………….. Supports professional concert audio recording\n$100 …………………………………… Helps cover musician honoraria and rehearsal costs\n$50 ……………………………………. Supports live concert enhancements\, such as lighting and sound \n$25 ……………………………………. Contributes to sheet music and performance rights \nEvery dollar received amplifies the voices of our choristers\, ensuring they can sing — and you can hear — music in its fullest form. \nClick here to donate! \nThank you for supporting the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir and helping us continue to inspire through music!
