This September, the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir is launching Rising Voices, an initiative dedicated to building the next generation of choral artists.

At ORYC, our singers come from a wide range of musical backgrounds. Some arrive with years of experience, while others are stepping into a choir for the very first time. What they share is potential, along with the energy, commitment, and passion for music.

Rising voices will ensure that each one of those singers has the opportunity to grow, by providing the training, mentorship, and performance experiences needed to develop their voice and their confidence.

Through this campaign, we are expanding access and awareness of the ORYC and supporting young singers by creating new educational opportunities that provide a supportive pathway from first rehearsal to concert performance.

We plan to continue our recently launched vocal training program and create new opportunities for choir members to learn other musical knowledge and skills in a variety of settings. Your support will help ensure that young singers in Ottawa are not held back by access to training and each singer can realize their full potential in the ensemble and beyond.
