After nearly eighteen months of COVID-19 halting meetings, birthday parties, and musical events, the ORYC was pleased to present a small concert to celebrate the end of our extended 2020-2021 season which proved no easy feat. Attendees were restricted to two per chorister, seating grouped by social bubble was mandatory. Masks were required at all times by everyone (including choristers) in the event space, and everyone in attendance had to fill out our COVID screening questionnaire. As such to keep capacity low, the event was not publicly advertised.
As our traditional season end event, awards were given out, and hard-working volunteer staff recognized; most notably Stephanie Cavanagh and Anne MacKinnon, our volunteer management team for the past year and a half who helped spearhead operations through the pandemic.
Although not a packed performance, we were certainly thrilled to see masks and smiling eyes looking back at us.
